3 great movies/docos

Besides watching Jerry Springer, wrestling and bad movies, occasionally I come across a few really good things to watch.

Surprisingly I have watched 3 very good movie/docos in the last month. (Anyone who knows me knows that I’m extremely fussy and anal so I rarely say something is good)

1st one is "The Man From Earth" pretty much a dialogue only movie.

A bunch of teachers find out their buddy is leaving, they confront him and he tells them he is 14000 years old.

This movie was so good I watched it again the next day. No special effects or super hot people just a damn good story.

"Zeitgeist the Movie"

Part 1 tells us what atheists already know, that religion is a load of bs. Mostly breaking down the bible and telling us where the stories come from. (helpful for debates with religious nuts)

Part 2 is about 9/11 being an inside job and the reasons why.

Part 3 is how a bunch of rich bankers control the world and cause war to gain money (increasing America’s debt so they pay more interest on loans).

The main point of this documentary is for people to stop being stupid douche bags who blindly follow mass media.

Last good Documentary I saw a while ago was "Who Killed the Electric Car".

Due to legislation in California car companies had to build a certain number of zero emission cars.

These electric cars worked well but because car companies/oil companies make more money on regular cars they didn’t promote them and destroyed them all when the laws were changed.

Sad thing is that we could all be driving electric cars now especially with battery technology.

The electric cars were built in 96 so you can imagine how much longer the cars would run for now. Probably 4+ hours of driving which would be good for 99.9% of the population and a hybrid fuel system to keep everyone happy.

The problem is big business/people in charge use the media to manipulate the public and send out scare campaigns, then promote future technology that is basically unworkable and far away.

It’s just another use of strategic manipulation. All very easy when the general public mostly cares about what Britney/(insert dumb celebrity) is doing and how they are going to waste their next pay cheque.

I suggest anyone with a brain watches all 3 of these.

I'll definitely check out that doco on electric cars. I've read about a number of advancements in this area and it shits me that the best we can get commercially is the Prius, which costs most goddamn non-hybrid cars. I guess we'll have to wait until people stop whinging about petrol prices and actually crack the shits about it.

You'll probably feel annoyed after watching it.

But I guess that is the price of knowing the truth.
